It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Lea Shepherd of Tyler, Texas, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lehman Robertson and Minnie Ella Haynes; her husband Samuel Tillman "Melton" Shepherd; and her son Steven Lynn Shepherd. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Shepherd (Liz) and Melton "Bear" Shepherd (Marty); and her daughter-in-law Catherine Shepherd. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandsons, seven step-grandchildren, and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler.
