He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Davis and Pauline Shockley; and his siblings, Andra Talbot and Alvie Davis. He is survived by: his wife Sheri Davis of Tye, TX; his children, Vicki Mitchell of Aransas Pass, TX, Michelle Chorn of San Antonio, TX, Vernon Doyal Davis Jr. (Kelli) of Tye, TX, Jason Davis (Nichole) of Merkel, TX and Joel Davis of Tye Tx; his siblings, Leon, Mike, Richard Davis, Joyce Boyett, Sandra Willborn, Paulette Maynard and Theresa Hansen; his grandchildren, Jessica Bolinger (Dusty), Cassidy Pulliam (Cory), Jake Mitchell (Madison), Courtney Chorn, Dillon Davis, Tatum Davis, Justice Davis and Michaela Davis; and his great grandchildren, Kasyn Bolinger, Bentley, Gracie Treadwell, Logan, Mason Holt and Landry Mitchell.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Tye Community Center (103 Scott St, Tye, TX 79563).
