He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Coker and Jessie Coker (Kitching); his sisters, Rosalyn M Acheson, Mildred Starkey and Martha Crumley; his niece Jane Acheson Lacy; and his nephew Timothy Starkey.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hyland; his stepchildren, Michele Davilla and Jackie Hershey; his nephews, William Acheson, Jim Acheson (Lorraine), John Starkey, Larry Crumley (Sharon) and Carl Crumley; his nephew-in-law John Lacy; his nieces, Rebecca Starkey Roten (Richard) and Cristi Crumley Bull (Douglas); and his niece-in-law Marsha Starkey. He is also survived by 6 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
