She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Woodrow Adams and Mary Pauline Adams; her sister Gloria Jean Diver; and her niece Delores Medve. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Horton; her daughters, Lori Tate (Dean Tate) of Lorena and Kristi Rosas (David Rosas) of Troy; her grandchildren, Garrett Tate, Gracie Tate (Casey Whicker), Ellie Tate, Carter Rosas and Morgan Rosas (Bryce Wilkey); and her sister Mary Gross (David Lawler). She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

For those who desire, the family has suggested the First Christian Church of Marlin for memorial contributions.

“I met Shirley in 2015 at a Bible study in Temple Tx. We got to know each other through Jan Runyan. We were invited to the ranch for a party and Shirley hopped on the back of my 4 wheeler and we took off. A little bit into the ride she told me I could go as fast as I wanted and not to let her cancer hold us back. So I floored it! We both had a blast and laughed til we cried!! It was a blessing to get to know her over the years ahead. She was the kindest sweetest soul. ❤️”
