She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorkel Helgesen and Andrea Helgesen; her husband James C. Burns, Jr.; her son James C. Burns, III; and her siblings, Thorkel G. Helgesen, Andrew Helgesen and Thelma Tobiassen.
She is survived by: her children, Andrea E. Hamling (Craig), Daniel A. Burns (Susan), Janet D. Flood (John), Alice M. Sobiech (Leon) and Timothy H. Burns (Tracey). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
