He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Elsenburg Vargeson; his daughter Brandy Vargeson Serna; his son-in-law Nick Serna; his daughter Amber Eads; his son-in-law James Eads Jr.; his grandchildren, Brittany Bunting (Dustin Bunting), Emily Serna, Kristopher Eads and Ashley McNamara (Logan McNamara); his great grandchildren, Bella Bunting, Ethan Michael Bunting and Payton Bunting; and his siblings, James (Darelene Elsenburg), Johnie (Bernice Elsenburg), Joyce Graeff (Rob Graeff), Quentine Ludlam of New York and Kevin Ludlam of New Jersey.
