He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis C. Gillmeister and Paula Ribbeck Gillmeister; his wife Marjorie; and his brothers, Louis, Fred, Herman and Emil.
He is survived by: his grandson Craig; his brother Gilbert; and his children, Paula Gillmeister Krause (Lester), David Gillmeister (Lisa), Joel Gillmeister (Rita), Darrell Gillmeister (Shannan) and Sebastian Gillmeister (Marjorie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
