Virginia Harris Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Harris (Troup, Texas), born in Cherokee, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harvey and Fannie Adeline Hampton Kersh; her husband Grady Harris; her brother Virgil Kersh (Barbara); and her nephew Randy Kersh.

She is survived by: her children, Jan Singletary (Jimmy) of Troup and Tony Harris (Lisa) of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Singletary Jennings (Russell) of Dallas, Jon Singletary (Leslie) of Bella Vista, AR and Mason Harris; her great grandchildren, Finley Jennings, Avery Singletary and Nash Jennings; her nephew Fred Kersh (Linda) of Tyler; and her niece Rose Kersh of Chandler. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews and great, great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the First United Methodist Church of Troup, TX, the Cameron J. Jarvis Library, Troup, TX, or Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County.
