She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Archer and Lena Linnstaedter Archer; her husband Dr. Bruce Walker; her children, Carl McElroy and Karen Garland; her grandsons, David McElroy Kyle McElroy and Aaron McElroy; and her brother Dr. Stanley Archer.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin McElroy (Marnie) of Troup, Chloe McElroy, Sharon Lubcker of Troup and Glen Boyd, Jr. (Connie) of Oklahoma; her brother James Archer of Decatur, TX; her grandchildren, Luke McElroy (Sharon), Jessica Garland, Casey McElroy (Amber), Erica Garland, Cody Boyd, David Boyd and Matthew Garland; her niece Dr. Kerstin Archer; and her nephew Kendall Archer. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cottle Funeral Home (105 E Bradford St, Troup, TX 75789). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Henry’s Chapel Cemetery (4539 FM 13, Troup, TX 75789).
