He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Richard and Bentley Barthel Pannell; and his sister Marie Phipps. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Deason Pannell; his children, Bruce Lee Pannell and Lizabeth Pannell Kidwell; his brothers, Ross Pannell and Billy Gene Pannell; and his grandchildren, Ben, Emily, Chad, Evan and Laurel. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
