He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Hemby and Essie Gee Hemby; and his wife Charlotte. He is survived by: his siblings, George, Genelle, Robert Jr. (Hog), Billie Jean and Ronnie; his children, David McWhorter (Susan) of Longview, Rene'Stovall (Scott) of Troup and Cindy Steele (Doug) of Troup; and his grandchildren, Mandi Braswell, Scotty Stovall, Bo Steele, Courtney Stovall, Chance Steele, Laci Stovall and William McWhorter. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mixon Cemetery (4975 FM 177, Troup, TX 75789).
