He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Spratley and Ruth Knight Slaughter; and his wife Mollie Sue Ashby. He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Susette), Mark and Billy Wayne Jr.; his grandsons, Austin (Talene Soghomonian) and James (Jana); his great grandchildren, Molly and Zeke Vanover; his stepdaughter Alina Vanover; his siblings, Myra Nell Wandry and Johnny; his siblings-in-law, Ava Ashby, Roy Barnes and Bertha Allen; and his cousin MaryAnn Coney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
