With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Abram Kurtz of Trophy Club, Texas, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Meyer Kurtz and Olga Kurtz; his wife Bernice (Riggs); his son Richard Kurtz; and his granddaughter Tiffany Kurtz.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Niswonger (Wendell) and Joe Kurtz, Jr. (Darlene); his grandchildren, Bryan Kurtz (Tonya), Scott Niswonger (Ana), Wendy Mery (Jeff) and Todd Niswonger (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Bryton Kurtz (Maddie), Mackenzie WeHunt (Seth), Samantha Kurtz, Cooper, Skyler Mery and Cyrus Niswonger; his sister Wanda O'Neal; and his sister-in-law Judy Mayfield (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
