She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grover Melton and Amanda Lou Steward Melton; her daughter Vicki Gelene Hanna; and her siblings, Ira Earl, Johnnie Dathan, Rubin Lee, Cecil Lamar, Grover Steward, Carro Dean, Lou Etta Ewing, Wanda Darlene Beckler, Lylan Morton, Dorothy Ethel Eaton, Addie Pearl Johnson and Lorean McCulloch.

She is survived by: her aunt Jane; her sons, Tim Malone (Julia) of Corsicana and David Malone of Frost; her grandchildren, Amanda Wofford (Brian), Kyle Malone, Jeremy Oliver, Laura Adams, Hope Hanna and Krysta Nelson; her great grandchildren, Abigail Oliver and Kole Malone; her sisters-in-law, Jerry Sue Malone of Corsicana, Kathern Ann Horton of Corsicana, Joyce Melton of Corsicana and Jackie Lynn Anderson (Billy Ray) of Lorena, Texas.; her close friends, Becky Stubblefield, Nancy Dawson, Lisa Dillman and Tammy Akhtar; and her pets, Petey Joe and Emily Jane. She is also survived by her husband, her children, her family and friends.
