He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice. He is survived by: his daughter Karen Hale (Rickey) of New Braunfels; his granddaughters, Stacy Lewis (Robert) of Brazoria and Christa Seekatz (Josh Rosenfeld) of Christiansburg; his great grandchildren, Alexandria Lewis and Alyssa Lewis; and his siblings, Elmer E. Smith, Jr. of New Braunfels and Bobbie Datray of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Roland's name to your favorite charitable organization or church of your choice.
