He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McGowen and Doris McGowen; and his son Robert James McGowen, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Glen McGowen (Carolyn) and Tracy Rayshawn McGowen (LaKeisha); his wife Willie Jewel McGowen; his grandchildren, Reginald Thomas, Eric McGowen, Jr., Eldric McGowen, Bradford McGowen and Briley McGowen; and his siblings, Dorothy M. Ryan, Nancy J. Manning, Leonard C. McGowen and Jessie L. McGowen. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
