He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Bell and Noble Thorndyke Hiser; and his sisters, Bonnie and Eloise. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sister Merrill; his children, Joe Bob, Steven, Richard, Noble, Jr., Sandy and Deirdre; and his grandchildren, Niki, Casey, Billy, Andrea, Rodney, Charlie, John, Matt, Aleana, Nolan and Taylor. He is also survived by many great grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and friends.
