He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Melvin Newman and Alta Reece Sheffield Newman. He is survived by: his children, Joey (Jessica Newman), Jodi (Justin Beckendorf) and James (Tara Newman); his wife Thena Newman; his grandchildren, Benjamin Beckendorf, Kendall Newman, Annie Beckendorf, Hadley Newman, LeighAnn Newman and Cody Newman; and his siblings, Rhonda (Rick Sacco) and Randy (Dana Newman). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
