He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Wingate and Thelma Mae Wingate; his brother J. R. Wingate; and his nephew Jason Ray Wingate. He is survived by: his wife Kay Wingate; his sons, Stony (Trisha Wingate) and Michael (Wendy Wingate); his grandchildren, Courtney (Nathan Koenig) and Macey Wingate; his great grandchild Noah Koenig; and his siblings, Robert (Pat Wingate), Paul (Dee Wingate), Jesse (Becky Jo Wingate) and Sherry Kimball. He is also survived by numerous Nieces Nephews and Cousins.
