He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lewis and Doris June Colvin (Bull); and his brothers, Derrell Colvin, Ricky Colvin and David Colvin.

He is survived by: his children, Scott Colvin (Michelle), Toni Colvin and April Laman; and his sister Pat Lee. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
