He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hermsdorfer and Doris Hermsdorfer (Schaare); and his brother Donald Lynn Hermsdorfer. He is survived by: his sons, Ernest Hermsdorfer IV (Tera Hermsdorfer) and Bryan Richard Hermsdorfer (Lana Hermsdorfer); his grandchildren, Doris Allison Hermsdorfer, Emma Marie Hermsdorfer, Caleb Ray Hermsdorfer, Nate and Wyatt Gortt; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Joseph, Jacob Ortega and Emmitt Roberts.
