He was predeceased by: his wife LaFaye; his mother Clarice; and his sister Vickie. He is survived by: his daughter Amber Margraves; his grandchildren, Sloane, Daulton and Max; his son Curtis Newkirk (Jeni); his grandchildren, Bennett, Anna, Charles and Asher; and his sisters, Gwen and Cheryl.
