He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Nancy Shepherd (Keeney) and Grover Jerry Shepherd; and his daughters, Nancy S. King and Jessye D. Dyson. He is survived by: his wife Billie Joe; and his children, Billy Joe Leon Shepherd of Houston, Joan D. Robertson (Terry) of Porter, Carol A. Fregia (Richard) and Jerry W. Shepherd. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
