He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvis William Waldon, Sr. and Norma Virginia Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Nell Rhea Waldon; his daughters, Dandy Estrada and Kandy Hassell; and his siblings, Norma Mullican, Paul Waldon, Norman Waldon, Jerry Waldon, Tommy Waldon and Dickey Waldon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Waldon's career was marked by his significant contributions to the criminal justice prison system, where he served with distinction as a Major at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) before his well-deserved retirement.
