He was predeceased by: his parents, Ancel Bryan and Ora Elizabeth Nevill (Wright); his son-in-law Larry Heathcote; and his sisters, Martha Johnson, Lois Turner, Daries Loosier and Bessie Jean Bentley.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Doylene Ragan Nevill; his children, Beverly Heathcote, Sharon Thomas (Dan E.), Pamela Thomas (Dan G.), Judy Smith (Curtis) and Steven Nevill; his grandchildren, Barry Heathcote, Christina Skaggs (Shawn), Becky Thomas, Matt Thomas (Ashley), Stephanie Helms (Tommy), Melanie Johnston (James) and Eric Singleton (Kacey); his great grandchildren, Laura Briceno, Bailey Watson, Collin Watson, Will Thedford, Haydin Thomas, Holden Thomas, Peytan Johnston, Connor Johnston, Paislee Singleton and Corbin Singleton; his siblings-in-law, Billie Lois Nevill, Billie Jo Giles Fluker and A. L. Buck Bentley; and his pets, Sally and Blondie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
