It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Shafer (Trent, Texas), who passed away on October 1, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Leroy Butler and Odessa Kelly Butler; her siblings, Bob Butler, Eloise Price and Alma Judd; her son Jerry Shafer; and her grandson Aaron Shafer.
She is survived by: her husband Manzell "Red" Shafer; her son Leroy; her daughter-in-law Nancy Shafer; her grandchildren, Shay Shafer, Dawn Haggard, Chance Shafer (Morgan), Colton Shafer, Trent Shafer (Caitlin Cox), Chelsie Shafer and Trey Timms; and her daughters-in-law, Gayla (Rod Koppenhaver) and Gayle Johnson. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Trent Methodist Church, Hendrick Hospice or to Trent Cemetery.
