Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Douglas leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria Tevis Kuritz and Cliffred Charles Kuritz; his wife Dorothy Cade Kuritz; and his brother Andrew Kuritz. He is survived by: his siblings, Rita Patrizi (Dan) of Gonzales, Kristine "Kris" Humphrey of Dallas, Karen Buchanan (Dave) of Liberty, Judy Melancon (Steve) of Gonzales, Don Kuritz (Barb) of Lone Jack and Zack Kuritz (Lorrie) of Livingston; and his caregiver Krista Thompson. He is also survived by other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riley Funeral Home (913 U. S. Hwy 190, Woodville, TX 75979). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
