He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Walton Goode and Ruth Taylor Stinger; and his sister Audrey Mather. He is survived by: his wife Beth Goode; his children, Jason Goode (Leah), Kim Dickinson (John), Debbie Rhodes (Trey) and Bradley Goode; his grandchildren, Hailey Dickinson, John Dickinson, Kasey Rhodes, Raleigh Rhodes, Sydney Rhodes and Dylan Goode; his sister Rosann Tate; and his sister-in-law Marleen Meads.
