She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Jeffers and Bessie Savant; and her husband John Quincy Kirby. She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Ross (Michael) and Laura Jones (Chris); her grandchildren, Kirby Ross (Caity), Cameron Ross (Kingsley), Hannah Bethea (Layne), Holly McStravick (Robert) and Hattie Jones; her great grandchildren, Parker, Piper Bethea, Ford McStravick and Tatum Ross; her sisters, Velma Johnson (Gary), Linda Roberts (Ken) and Jackie Fowler; and her friend Sally Gist (Ron).
Memorial contributions can be made to the J.J. Watt Foundation. The J.J. Watt Foundation serves middle school age children in Texas that have insufficient funding for after-school athletic programs.
