He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Larry Gries and Carolyn Gries; his wife Karen DeCorte Gries; his children, Valerie Fajotina, Fabian Gries and Bianca Ludwig; his stepson Conner DeCorte Martin; his grandchildren, Elena Cortes, Koa Fajotina, Makana Fajotina and Ezequiel Gries; and his children-in-law, Julius Fajotina, Nicholas Ludwig and Marilyn Gries.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Klein Memorial Park Cemetery (32539 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX 77362). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Klein Memorial Park - Tomball (32539 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX 77362).
