He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Milton Shirley Sr and Ava Pearl Beatrice Shirley (Patty); his wife Anne; his children, Merrie Thomas (Frank) and Ransome Shirley (Mitzi); and his grandchildren, Joshua Robertson (Stephanie), Benjamin Robertson (Chelsea), Megan Young (Bryan), Jordan Shirley and Nicholas Shirley of Corpus Christi. He was also cherished by 6 great grandchildren.
