He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Wells and Florence Mae Wells; and his wife Lillian Wells. He is survived by: his children, Donna Wells, Mark Wells and Glen Wells (Mitzi); his grandchildren, Michael Wells and Mya Wells; his nephew Phillip Wells; his niece Brandy Moore; and also Pam Medley.
