He was predeceased by: his parents, Faustino Urias and Sedonia Urias (Farias); his sister Gloria Stence; his daughter Joanna; his son-in-law Jeffrey Peacock; his parents-in-law, Alton and Bessie Rice; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Rice and Robert Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Urias (Rice); his sons, Jeffrey Salinas (Susana) of San Diego and Michael Urias of Tomball, Texas; his grandchildren, Joshua Peacock, Elizabeth Peacock, Daniel Peacock, Jeffrey Salinas, Jr. and Suzy Salinas; his siblings, Robert Urias (Sulema) and Eliosa Sanchez (Guadalupe) of Corpus Christi, Texas; his nieces, Belinda (Fred), Erica (Jeff), Lisa and Priscilla; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Forney (Terry), Susan Rice and Lori Rice; and his nieces and nephews, Kristen Rice, Kelly Arechiga (John), Kari Sjolander (Darren), Rebecca Dewald, James Rice and William Rice.
