He was predeceased by: his sister Janice Kay Beard. He is survived by: his wife Nita Gayle Mefford Beard; his son Jon Bryan Beard (Karen); his grandchildren, Jon-Michael Wayne, Jason Scott, Jason Michael Beard (Angie), Brendan Michael and Gavin Douglas; his siblings, Francis Eugene Beard (Joyce), David Euzell Beard (Mary Lou), Daniel Roger Beard and Margie Flo O'Connell; and his brother-in-law Jerry Norman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
