She was predeceased by: her parents, Vadis H. Hoover and Ethel F. Hoover; her husband Turner Sparks; her daughter Teresa Sparks; her brother Robert Hoover; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Hoover and Francis Hoover.
She is survived by: her children, David Sparks (Liz), Tommy Sparks (Tammy), Howard Sparks (Peggy), Johnny Sparks (Priscilla) and Julie Tatom (Wade); and her grandchildren, Joshua Sparks (Andrea), Matthew Sparks (Amberly), Justin Tatom (Stephanie), Candus Martha Tatom, Kimberlee Gaona (Lupe), Jason Sparks (Zenita), Billy Lusk (Natalie), Derek Lusk (Lee Ann), Bradley Lusk (Emily), Lance Sparks (Ashleigh) and Turner Julian Sparks (Rebecca). She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
