She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Lewis Smith and Walter Chadwick; her parents, James Keating and Odessa Keating; her son Jimmie Smith (Evah); and her siblings, Glenn Keating, Leo Keating, Douglas Keating, Harold Keating, Marie Simpson and Donnella Jimmerson.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Smith of Center and Kimberly Pleasant (Roger) of Martinsville; her sisters, JoAnn Gary of Timpson and Lanette Ells (Roy) of Center; her stepchildren, Mike Chadwick (Leisa) of Timpson, Jonathan Chadwick of Timpson, Andy Chadwick of Deberry and Patricia Maddox (Jared) of Gilmer; her grandchildren, Brandi Smith of Ohio, Brittany Smith of Jasper, Joshua Pleasant of Martinsville, Holly Williams (Terry) of Nacogdoches and Misty Pleasant of Nacogdoches; and her great grandchildren, Alexxis Smith, Halle Adams, Victoria Williams, Jalen Williams, Madisyn Pleasant and Londyn Pleasant.
