He was predeceased by: his parents, A. P. Norton and Bessie Gann Norton; and his brother Larry Norton. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Norton; and his children, Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Norton, Charles Brooks Davis, Jeannie Coleman (Walter), Diane Morales (Rosalino) and Lisa Eddins (Gaylon). He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
