He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Augusto Verastegui and Lilly Verastegui (Quintanilla); his wife Lilia Sanchez Verastegui; his children, Jose Javier Verastegui, Jr. (Misty Cranek Verastegui), Ava and Lila; his sisters, Dolores Barton of Laredo and Lily De Los Santos of Laredo, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Ernest Barton, Roland Verastegui, R. J. Barton, Lily Joe Hultquist and Donna V. Sabol.
The family has requested the burial be private. Due to the new Executive Order from Governor Abbott, we are asking that everyone wear a mask during the visitation and burial.
