He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobbie Goode (Tanner) and James Goode; his siblings, Claudette Wolsch and Elmer Goode; and his son-in-law Dee Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Goode (Poteet) of Throckmorton; his children, Jimmy Goode (Rhonda) of Meeker, Corey Goode (Dawn) of Rhome, Texas and Sherri Jackson of Throckmorton, Texas; and his sister Winnie Pittman of Rochester. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (107 N Austin Ave, Throckmorton, TX 76483). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (211 N Minter Ave, Throckmorton, TX 76483). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Throckmorton Cemetery (310 4th St, Throckmorton, TX 76483).
