He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore C. Fitzgerald and Frances C. Bailey Fitzgerald; his children, Sharon Koehler of Stockdale, Robert T. Fitzgerald, Jr., Kristin Fitzgerald and Nancy Lee Fitzgerald; and his brother Ivan Dale Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his wife Alyne Simnacher Meyer Fitzgerald of Castroville; and his children, Rev. Judith Tolbert (James) of Eddy, Mark Fitzgerald (Liz) of New Braunfels, Shirley Watson (Mac) of Lone Star, Connie Churchill (Richard) of Three Rivers, Mary Helen Meyer of Newberg, Diana Pullin (Henry) of Three Rivers, Glen Meyer of Ft. Worth and Carol Alexander (Jesse) of Buda. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
