We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2020, at the age of 90, Moore Matthews Jr. of Three Rivers, Texas, born in Mercedes, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hortense Matthews (Mills) and Moore Matthews Sr.; his wife Glynda E. Matthews; and his sisters, Vivian Crowe, Margaret Ashworth and Mildred Springer.
He is survived by: his sons, Little League, Moore Matthews III (Debby) of Fort Worth, Dan R. Matthews (Becky) of Costa Rica and David Matthews (Kay) of Salado; his brother-in-law Carl Englerth (Cynthia) of New Braunfels; and his grandsons, Matt Matthews, Danny Matthews, Jeff Matthews, David Matthews, Carl Shepard, Brian Shepard, Mike Bianchi, Adam Mitchell, Chris Bahnmiller and Buddy Tautenhahn. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
