He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Soilo Gonzales Sr. and Catalina Gonzales (Torres); and his stepson Xavier Gonzales. He is survived by: his wife Adelaida Gonzales of Beeville; his children, Arturo Gonzalez, Cynthia Gonzalez and Angelica Leal (John) of Beeville; his stepchildren, George Gonzales Sr. (Diana) of Laredo, Sara Doege (Kelly) of Granbury and Joseph Gonzales of Sandia; and his grandchildren, Jason Gonzalez, Jennifer Gonzalez, Celest Leal and Cesceli Leal.
