He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. McClendon and Annie McClendon (Cowie); his wife Nita Sue McClendon; and his siblings, John A. McClendon and Beth Richardson.
He is survived by: his sons, Kent McClendon and Cole McClendon (Vickie); his grandchildren, Tyrel McClendon, Chasity Brown, Kirby Ham, Quirt McClendon and Heather Eagle; and his brother Ross McClendon of Three Rivers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
