He was predeceased by: his father Dave Darling; and his son Samuel Darling. He is survived by: his mother Lucy Darling (Stapleton) of Three Rivers; his siblings, Tammy Martinez (Adam) of Three Rivers and Johnny Darling of Three Rivers; and his close friends, Toby Perez of Three Rivers and T. J. Fitzgerald of Three Rivers.
