She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elton Black and Gertrude Spurlin Black McKinney; her brothers, Huey F. McKinney and Charles E. McKinney; and her husband James R. Abbott.
She is survived by: her siblings, Martha Helen Black Myers, William "Bill" Elton Black and Jerry Don Black; her children, Robert Warren Abbott and Deborah Kay Abbott Ball; her grandchildren, Justin Travis Abbott, Stefanie Lane Ball and Saundra Lauren Ball Williams; and her great grandchildren, Jack Preston Piwetz, Samuel Everett Williams and Ruby Francis Williams.
