She was predeceased by: her parents, Nell Mae Smith Starnes and Tommy Edward Starnes; her siblings, Bob Wilson Starnes, Jesse George Starnes, Tommy Starnes, Jr. and Margaret; and her uncle Robert Wilson "Doc" Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Edgar "Lawrence" Light; her former husband Carl Wernecke; her daughters, Lynda Light Coates (Fourth) of Medina, Denise Rizzotto (Sammy) of Liberty Hill and Diana Stolle of Georgetown, Texas.; her grandchildren, Sean Sladek, Ryan Sladek (Carly), Suzanne Coates Taylor (Keith), Cinco Coates, Melissa Stolle, Travis Stolle and Sammy Carl Rizzotto; her great grandchildren, Avery Sladek, Tripp Taylor, Duval Taylor, Olivia Kessler, Grayson Kesler, Jeremy Rizzotto and Lucas Rizzotto; her great great grandchildren, Parker and Tatum Rizzotto; her nephew Kent Olson; her niece Linnea Olson Smith; and her cousins, David Smith and Renee Fawcett Dunbar.
