She was predeceased by: her parents, Zadie Akers and Horace Akers Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Edward Mitchell III of Dallas, TX, William Mitchell (Karen) of Houston, TX and Shani Mitchell of DeSoto, TX.; and her siblings, Jeridine Tuck, Minnie Johnson, Velma Akers, Katie Akers, Billie Daniels and Horace "Rocky" Akers III. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
