He was predeceased by: his parents, Crystell Alston (Lewis) and Willie Bee Alston. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Gene Alston (Sherry) and Lisa Kay Alston Eskind (Terry); his wife Kay Alston; his grandchildren, Chase Jordan Walker (Melissa), Sarah Gene Alston Griffin (Tommy), Lauren Elizabeth Eskind and Hope Alston Eskind; his great grandchildren, Samantha Grace Griffin, Logan Ann Walker, Noah James Griffin, Jordan Avery Walker and Mickala Alston Griffin; and his sister Etta Frances Alston Blake (Jim Blake).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Thornton Methodist Church, P O Box 382, Thornton, Texas 76687.
