He is survived by: his wife Jodi Hughes; his children, David Johnston, Rebecca Mayer (Brannon), Pamela Johnston and Joe Johnston (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Ashlynn, David, Juliet, Jaden and Skylar; and his siblings, Michael E. Johnston and Ginger White (Phillip) of Nashville.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stonebridge Church (1 Stonebridge Church Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77354).
