He was predeceased by: his parent Colene Murray; and his brothers, James Michael Murray and Thadaile Murray. He is survived by: his wife Gay Lynn (Williams); his siblings, Adaile Murray (Melba Denease), Terri Murray Hughes (late Steve Hughes) and Candy Murray Kitchen (Kenneth Kitchen); his children, Tammy Murray, Machelle Murray and Edward Murray, Jr. (Angelica Torregroza); his grandchildren, Destiny Malone Brown (Chris Brown), Boyd Malone (Katlyn Jumper), Hailey Mitchell, Aaron Sanders (Savanna Smith), Rachel Sanders, Emily Murray and Adam Murray (Elda Jaimes); and his great grandchildren, Carter Brown, Kinley Brown, Stetson Malone, Aiden Murray, Kevin Muckleroy and Kasey Muckleroy. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Park the Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery (18000 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77384). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
